Introductions!

Greetings food freaks,

I'm just starting to get this blog off its feet, in the near future there will be videos, polls, links, and maybe even cake! (you have to make it yourself though)

Let me tell you about myself!
I am a 21 year old culinary school student at Kirkwood Community College, I've been interested in everything food my whole life. Since I remember I would beg to help my mom cook dinner and basically since the age of 7ish, I've been cooking on my own. In high school I participated in a food program called ProStart, to which I owe all my beginning knowledge of cooking for the general public, we hosted fundraisers to help pay for our trip to state cooking competition in Cedar Falls, IA where we won entry into National Competition in Charlotte, NC. We felt like we were on top of the world. We hosted even MORE fundraisers after that because its quite expensive to fly ten kids across the country. Long story short it was the best experience of my life, even though we took 17th, we still had a blast!

But for some reason, I didnt realise that was my true calling, I went to a local private college for studies in accounting, I learned that it was time to go back to what I do best: COOKING!

Even though you think you're made to do something, its not bad to have other hobbies, who knows, it might turn into your career
